Position:Sr. Mechanical/Refrigeration Designer
Description:* Major Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver accurate technical drawings to discipline engineers on schedule. Review of work of other team discipline designers, internal and external to ensure quality. Establish uniform drawing format and presentation for project discipline drawings. Prepare and coordinate other project designers in preparation of project drawings, bills of material, and requisitions. Assist Lead Discipline Engineer in monitoring discipline drawing schedule. Conformance to contract for all discipline engineering and material. Support of construction and fabricator activities discipline related. Performance appraisal as appropriate. Education Requirements: High School required; Associate Degree preferred. Cad Training (Auto Cad) Experience: 10 yrs Years Power Industry Experience 5 Years In-house Experience Field work experience. Minimum of 1 year 3D AutoCad modeling experience. Bently Plant experience is a plus. 5 + years experience in equipment layout. 10+ years experience in piping design. 2+ years experience in large scale commercial refrigeration Knowledge of OSHA building codes (10-Hour OSHA Training) and of standard mechanical engineering codes. Ability: 1. CAD skills range 6-10. 2. Product skills range 6-10 in one or more product lines. 3. In depth design work & checking. 4. Deal with field problems. 5. Ability to lead project and direct others assigned to project. Ability to work in both office and construction site environments. Must be capable of travel to job sites and supplier fabrication facilities. Job sites require use of ladders and stairs to perform duties.
